What if this New Year is finally THE YEAR you will meet your True Love? What if, your single days were counted? What if the possibility of your meeting your Soulmate in 2012 was solely in your hands? Would you be open, willing and ready to welcome him or her into your life?
Believe it or not, there’s never been a better time to find love than right now? Don’t believe me? Then check out these statistics from the US Census Bureau:
- There are 99.6 million unmarried people over the age of 18 in the U.S. (This represents 44% of the adult population)
- 39.2% of the unmarried population over the age of 18 was formerly married
- 60.8% have always been single!
This represents the largest percentage of single and available people in the United States since 1920! And, this is a trend we’re seeing
more and more in other nations of the world as well. Why is this? Why are there so many single unmarried people in the world? In my opinion, there are five main reasons…
1. People are marrying for much different reasons than ever before. For hundreds of years people married for procreation and socio-economic, and political purposes only. Love and fulfillment have now become our primary relationship objectives.
2. Divorces are very prominent today. Statistically, 50% percent of marriages end in divorce. This means that more and more people are discovering that there’s no need to settle for someone who is not a good fit for you.
3. Technology and medical advancement have enabled people to live longer and have babies later in life. With more time to live, and greater possibilities to have or adopt babies later in life, people are taking their time to discover themselves, focus on what they want out of life first, before they commit to starting a committed relationship or family.
4. We have very little Role Models of what it is like to be in a healthy, loving and committed relationship. Just look around our media, television and newspapers!
5. In today’s world we have many, many choices. With the proliferation of Television, and Social Media, each one of us is so aware that there are is a vast sea of people we could possibly date, get to know, and be in relationship with, not to mention lifestyle choices we can make!
So, if now we have so many choices, and we are marrying for love and fulfillment why aren’t there more loving fulfilled relationships?
I believe that for the first time in history, we’re moving towards a ‘Soulmate Era’. An era where people really have the opportunity to freely choose our life partners and ensure that our spiritual, emotional and cultural values are in alignment before we commit to each other! An era where we come into a relationship not just for our own good, but also to inspire those around us!
The big question is then, how can you move into this new Soulmate Era, and welcome your Soulmate into your life?
