There’s a magic that happens when you start facing the fear of being yourself and begin to fully and unconditionally accept yourself as you truly are.
There’s a lightness you feel inside when you give yourself permission to ‘unpack’ your heart and acknowledge to yourself and others your own inauthenticities, mistakes, flaws, dualities, brokenness, and pain.
The more you ‘unpack’ your heart from all of that which opposes your essential loving nature, the more you open yourself to a kind of love that goes beyond the all-consuming fire of romance.
This kind of love, sometimes easier to give than to receive, embraces in you and others what you thought made you unlovable in the first place. It sees all flaws as cracks through which the light can get in.
We all have our secrets, darkness, and scars. We all have our glories, desires, and light. But we don’t all have a safe place to walk into where we can lay it all gently and unpack our hearts.
What would happen if, beginning today, you gave yourself permission to become such space? A safe place where you can release everything that is keeping you from loving yourself and others unconditionally?
An unconditionally loving space where you can…
Accept within yourself what you’re struggling the most to accept in others.
Tame within yourself what you’re struggling the most to tame in others.
Forgive within yourself what you’re struggling the most to forgive in others.
Appreciate within yourself what you’re struggling the most to appreciate in others.
Celebrate within yourself what you’re struggling the most to celebrate in others.
Instead of waiting for others to make the first move and create that space for you so that you can feel loved, how about setting the wheels of this love revolution in motion by first creating this space within you?
In your heart.
Here’s a simple practice to help you achieve just that.
Feel free to let me know how this touched you in the comments section below.
From my heart to yours.
